I work primarily as a painter but utilize a variety of media in my work. In addition to traditional oil painting techniques, I include printmaking and airbrushing, as well as materials and techniques commonly used in the automotive field. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Birmingham Southern College and I am a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama. Thematically, my inspirations range from human connection and memories to spiritualism and surrealism. While my process may start with a plan, it can quickly become intuitive as I allow the work to grow and guide me during its formation. I find this conversational approach between myself and the work immensely gratifying. I also own and operate Gallery Vox, a contemporary art space in Tarrant City.
